Discerning Authority/Leadership Health

Authority and leadership in the modern age have become corrupted and is now often an expression of unhealed grief. After living within this grief filled framework for centuries, unhealthy authority has become normalized. Recognizing the expressions of grief and wounding when it appears within an individual's behavior is paramount, especially if we have bestowed leadership or an authoritative role upon that person. 

It is important that we can grant leadership authority to others, as each individual has their own area of expertise and connection, but we need to know if this authority is coming from a place of grief rather than connection. 

Because of humanity's unhealed grief and trauma, authority and leadership have become corrupted from their original understanding. In the modern context, authority is more about exerting power over others or manipulating meaning to favor a specific viewpoint. This is so ingrained within the way our societies are set up that we do not see the subtlety of when it is taking place.  

As with many things in this world, these areas of misalignment and imbalance can be traced back to greater spiritual forces that, if understood, can be recognized early and addressed effectively. These energies are not always 'bad'; they are opportunities to learn and grow into greater awareness to support life. 

As we head deeper into Earth's transformation, we will require a clear awareness of when we are giving away our authority, to whom, and why. We also need to hold and apply this awareness to ourselves. We need to be able to quickly and effectively understand when a perceived authority is coming from a place of grief and wounding rather than connectivity and health.
