What is the meaning of our human existence in life? Humanity has pondered this since the beginning of time. In the modern age, this question is seldom asked anymore, instead being content to settle into the meanings that modern societies and religion presents. 

But, to truly ask the meaning of our human existence then we must look beyond the immediate information and understandings that is available to us from modern society. We must look to a greater spiritual understanding which knows that physical life is part of a more significant spiritual journey.

Looking a little deeper at life, we can grasp that there is something beyond just the physical. There is an eternal existence which is linked to the manifested life upon the earth. What is quickly revealed is physical life is an opportunity to learn and grow spiritually through a physical reality.

Exploring this more begs the question of “WHY”? What is the purposefulness of physical existence?

What does the physical world offer to the spiritual journey? 

Human beings are made up of several different consciousnesses, one of which is the part of us that endures long after the physical has perished: the Spirit. Having a physical experience on earth and walking our life journey gives the spirit the opportunity to grow and develop.  There is often a misconception that the spirit is perfect and unmoving. Nothing could be further from the truth. Spiritual life is developing as much as the physical world, and creation is still unfolding. How the growth and development of the spirit occurs though physical existence could be summarized into one word – PURIFICATION. Within connected cultures, there is an understanding of how physical life is born from a spiritual need for a way to grow in a very particular way.

To have physical experience is a gift to spiritual development.
