What you will come away with from the Quest experience:
If you're feeling the pull to Quest or help support the questers, then come and immerse yourself in pure experience.
Here is what you will have the opportunity to experience during this very unique gathering:
To give one's life to vision in service to all of life is no small undertaking and is not for those seeking glory or fame. The primary driving force that lies at the core of it is a deep love for all life and its continuation.
Dates: July 5 - 12, 2024
Location: Black Hills of western South Dakota (1 hour away from Rapid City, South Dakota). The site is a primitive camp. Cars are parked at designated area onsite, and participants and their gear will be transported to the camp location (approx. 1.5 miles away). The is no cell or Wi-Fi service at this location. A break from technology is a necessary part of the quest experience.
Cost: $450 covers hard cost of event (food, wood, toilet paper, site supplies...). Donations amount can be added to payment now or gifted on site. Donations allow us to continue this work and support many families connected to the lineage.
Meals: Only supper and daytime snacks and drinks will be provided. Participants are required to provide their own breakfast and lunch. As part of the gathering, we learn the importance of food, the sacredness of the kitchen and service. Participants will help in the preparation of the evening meal - learning how to make food offerings and about healing the community through food. This year, evening meals will be coordinated by us, but preparation and service will be provided by the participants. We will provide a meat and vegetarian options each dinner. Snacks and refreshment will be available between meals. Participants will be responsible for any specific dietary requirements as we cannot provide for each person’s individual dietary restrictions/needs. A separate letter for each gathering will be sent to those who are participating. In these letters you will receive the instructions about the location, personal needs, items to bring, and the planned opportunities for that event.
This gathering is open to those who are ready to quest and those who are feeling the call to support.
To help us make this opportunity available and due to the costs of preparing the site, food, supplies, wood and time, we ask for a contribution from anyone attending with a suggested donation. If you'd like to join but cannot contribute the suggested amount, please fill out a work trade form at this link: https://www.helpersmentoringsociety.net/work-trade-scholarships
