The Helper's Path

The potential exists for every one of us to reach levels of living connection that can have a profound impact on our world. Human beings hold a unique function within Earth's natural systems. We can connect, choose, and act in ways that support the abundance and diversity of life.
And yet, it's clear that modern humanity has rejected this role. Many of us are living disconnected from ourselves, the living world, and from a deeper spiritual reality. The work of Helpers Mentoring Society is to name that disconnection honestly and offer a pathway back to what a connected human being can become: what we call a Helper.
Living in healthy and joyful connection is what it is to be a human being.
There is a developmental pathway to becoming a fully activated and connected part of creation, and it begins with intimately knowing ourselves. This isn't an isolated, self-centered pursuit. It is relational. We come to know who we are through the relationships we hold - with our own nature, other beings, the Earth, and with the greater forces of creation. These relationships are living and dynamic. As they grow, they shape both our inner life and our outward way of being.
Personal Authentic Spiritual Sovereignty is the Doorway to Greater Connection.
Living in healing and joy is not a switch we flip on and then "have." It requires a shift in consciousness. From an individualistic worldview into a relational reality where we learn to act in unison with nature - and in alignment with spiritual principles. In this way, we become an active part of regulating life. This way of life provides gifts and incredible support - and carries responsibility. It requires we tend and maintain our ropes of connection and that we dedicate ourselves to something greater than personal comfort or individual gain.
As we establish clear self-identity through relationship, the pathway expands. We begin to develop relationship beyond the nature into greater forms of consciousness; principles and intelligences that govern how life exists and functions. We refer to these as the Powers of Creation.
This phase of the journey begins with the elemental beings. As we learn how the elements can be activated in specific configurations, what we call Elemental Altars, we cultivate a more aligned relationship with supporting life. These configurations are not casual or symbolic. They require initiation, commitment, and the lived responsibility of relationship in order to function in a healthy way.
Through this work, we begin to access the governing consciousnesses of life through ceremony. Ceremony opens relationship to profound healing forces, but we are not passive recipients in this process. We must participate. We must offer ourselves in service and live in a way that makes our connection real.
Working with spirit-given ceremonies requires dedication to something far beyond our own existence. As we deepen our alignment to supporting life, we can access potent realities that, through us, bring support and healing. With greater capacity comes greater responsibility.
When we walk in this sacred manner, we become Helpers of Life.
