Working With Prayer - Formal Prayer Structures as a Guide

Historic Webinar Recording

Prayer is a commonly misunderstood process of what it is to be human. Prayer is a way of life. It is not something that we switch on and off when we have a need or a want. It is a state of being that we can attain through working directly with the prayer itself. Most modern forms of belief about prayer are distorted away from a relational context and much more commonly placed in personal needs.

Many formal prayers support our understanding of how to live in this world as connected human beings. Within the structures of traditional formal prayers lies a deeper, more connected understanding of how creation itself functions. When we explore these on a deeper level, greater, more connected realities become available to us. We can grow in ourselves through praying in this manner.

Prayer is the Only Thing.

Reorienting ourselves from the modern perspective of prayer to a much older, more connected version of crying out to creation for the need for life will support the efficaciousness of our prayers. But we need help.

The prayers passed down through generations hold great wisdom for us in our time. Through deeper exploration of what the prayer speaks to, we can find a profound understanding of what it is to be human. When we pray from a place of disconnection of the understanding of our place in creation, we distort the perspective of our position in relationship to everything else.

In this webinar, we will explore the structures of prayer and how to work with them to build a human being's state of being in relationship to life. We will offer formal prayer structures to help guide our understanding of creation.
