All proceeds will go to support the family on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota.

Journey into Womanhood is an invitation to join us on an in-depth exploration into the gifts that are unique to us as women; to discover and expand all levels of your being, supporting you as a woman to unfold into the highest possible expression of yourself with the true beauty and unique qualities that are you. To do this we will be drawing upon wisdom that has been handed down through the generations, supported by modern discoveries, each other and our shared experience.

2020 was hailed as a year of vision and clarity and the events that have unfolded globally since this year began are showing us more starkly than ever both the grief, and the hope, in the current condition of humanity and our relationship to the Earth. The collective response to the Covid-19 pandemic is revealing ways in which we can collaborate and come together which were unimaginable before this crisis began.

The immediate regenerative response in nature to the global lock-down has clearly shown even the most skeptical of us that how we have been living is truly at the root of the Earth’s distress.  These circumstances are giving us a rare moment for deep observation and reflection on how we have each been meeting the gift of life. In this unique time in human history we have been gifted an incredible opportunity to create new and healthier ways of living, not just for us as individuals but also to bring to the greater whole. It is our view that key to finding a more balanced way of living is to bring forward and celebrate the attributes of the feminine which, up until now, have not been widely valued or represented in mainstream collective culture.

We are offering this as part of our expression of our commitment to life. These are challenging times for all and financially difficult for most.

All proceeds will go to support the family on the Pine Ridge reservation in South Dakota who have been the wisdom keepers of the teachings and ceremonies that are at the foundations of this work.

This program is the fruit of seven years of applying the teachings and tools of connection from this lineage in our own lives and through seeking guidance on how to live and serve in a connected way as a woman. We will be sharing our personal experience of journeying with the gifts and internal ceremonies of a woman, coupled with the experiences and insights we have had in our local Inipi society and Women's Inipi group. It is also enriched by the insights we have gained holding this program for the last two years.

At this time when the implications of our global imbalance are so palpable, it is critical that we, as women, are able to fully embody the gifts that we each carry. As a group of women committed to the continuation of life and the health and happiness of the future generations, the intention of this program is for us to journey together to help create a common understanding of how to work with the gifts that are unique to women - for ourselves, for our communities and for the benefit of all creation.

The journey will unfold over a number of modules, each containing a combination of written content and experiential exercises designed to build our capacity for connection with our own inner knowing as women and, ultimately, with the knowledge of the wisdom keepers that has been kept alive in the networks between us.

Module 1: Reclaiming the feminine

Module 2: Tending the Sacred Ground that is ourselves, nurturing our inner     fire

Module 3: Journey into connection

Module 4: The Moon time

Module 5: The threshold that is the perimenopause & menopause

Module 6: Living the gifts of the North; post-menopausal women

Module 7: Manifesting the gifts of connection

Module 8: Completing the cycle, giving thanks

For most of us our intuition is like a muscle that has not been used much and that needs strengthening. It is through the regular application of these practices and rituals and the building of our own experience that will connect us with a deeper understanding of our personal inner journey and of life itself.  If you stay on this journey you will be gifting yourself a lifetime of richness.

Facilitators:

Penny Jerram

Penny studied Archaeology and Anthropology as an undergraduate and has a long-standing interest in First Nations’ teachings. She is particularly focused on how their wisdom can be applied in a contemporary context to support connected, healthy ways of living. Penny had various roles in a corporate context before embarking on the journey of motherhood, bringing up four children. She has had the privilege of working with Sal Gencarelle for the past 7 years and has experienced a profoundly transformative journey with the ceremonies and tools of connection that Sal shares. Penny applies these practices in her daily life, deepening her understanding of, and connection with, what it means to be a woman. This journey has led her to a commitment to supporting upcoming generations to find their North Star and she is immersed in a project to support children to do so through reimagining education.  Penny is passionate about sharing these teachings and ceremonies with the wider community so that we may move towards more sustainable models of living.

Hana Jones

The common thread that has been woven through Hana’s work throughout her adult life is one of supporting both adults and children to express their unique gifts and to identify and clarify their personal vision. Her experience of working towards this is extensive: as a bodyworker, remedial exercise teacher, trainer, workshop facilitator and nature quest protector under the lineage of the Tracker School. Having always walked a path close to nature, Hana is deeply committed to ensuring our children are given opportunities to form strong ropes of connection to the natural world they live in. To this end she has trained Forest School leaders, staffed on the UK Art of Mentoring and is an auntie and mentor to many children and young people. She is also a grandmother to three little ones. The philosophy and earth-based spirituality of the First Nations people has been at the heart of Hana’s spiritual path throughout her life and in 2013 this led her to the intact lineage of the teachings that Sal Gencarelle brings to us.  She continues in a committed, immersive learning journey with these teachings, the ceremonies and this way of life.
