The Lakota Language is a language of extreme efficacy. This language’s ability to convey clarity of complex, even multidimensional concepts, has astounded learners for generations. From the earliest European translators to the people who are currently leaning Lakota as a second language, the consensus is consistent – this language is incredible. The Lakota language contains a means to access profound relationship to all aspects of life and a way to express common conversational needs.
The Lakota Language Study Group will be an opportunity for students to deepen their knowledge and communication ability of the Lakota language. The study group will focus on differently aspects of the language including building a strong vocabulary base, basic daily communication, sentence structure, and conjugations. We will also explore the language through the songs, prayers, and the spiritual/philosophical.
Includes:
- Two 45-minute group teaching calls per month (2nd and 4th Friday of each month at 11:30 am PST)
- Private and exclusive lineage language teachings
- Lineage stories, prayers, songs, and more as part of understanding the language
- Downloadable resources (as needed)
- Private Lakota Language Group Community
All people who are interested in learning more about the Lakota language are invited to join. To understand the language and build a sincere relationship with it, a person must learn to speak it. The study group will be an opportunity to learn, practice speaking, and expand on accessing a new worldview.
We must have a minimum of participants to make this course a viable learning opportunity.
